Enjoy the ride
A limited edition print in memory of those lost to cancer and in aid of those fighting cancer. It’s a reminder that life can be short, so enjoy the ride.
Enjoy the ride has been borrowed from Anthony Bourdain, but it’s also a gentle nod to my Dad, a keen cyclist, who lost his battle with cancer in 2023. And having lived, worked, cycled, climbed and kayaked all over the world, he certainly enjoyed the ride.
The edition has been typeset in our largest wood type—two 40-line grotesques—which have been inked by hand in shades of purple, making each print entirely unique. The supporting details use 9pt and 12pt Haas Diethelm metal type, from the Desmond Jeffery Collection and have been inked in silver on our Vandercook SP-20.
The final detail is a typographic flourish: two geometric circles cast in the 1960s and reminiscent of a bike. Of course.
